Our Story

It all started over 35 years ago on Sherkston Beach, Ontario—back when Rodd had his first-ever chicken wing. At the beach he saw a guy in a tiny shack, no bigger than a phone booth, with a deep fryer.  The wings were incredible and that moment stuck with Rodd.

From then on, he was hooked. Rodd started making wings for friends and at tailgates in parking lots - testing out new flavors, and using his unsuspecting friends as taste testers at special events and Super Bowl parties. (The feedback? Well, you can ask his taste testers but there's a reason he's here today!) And that’s when the idea hit him: someday, I needed to take this passion and turn it into something real.

Fast forward to today, and that dream is now rolling down the street in the form of Wing Monster Food Truck - a family-run food truck where you can come be the judge. To top it off, Rodd's  wife and adult kids are part of the business, which means he get to do what he loves while spending time with his family - he says it doesn’t get much better than that (most days ;)

But Rodd reminds us,  it’s not just about food. Wing Monster is also passionate about giving back, which is why we proudly support Adults in Motion, a local day program for adults with disabilities. The Wing Monster brings people together, and we believe in making a difference while doing what we love.

So whether you’re here for the wings, the fries, or just the good vibes, we’re pumped to serve you. Every time we slide open that order window, it’s another chance to share our passion—one bite at a time.
